In 2016, our directors Dawn and Sophia founded Teign Angels. From day one, we have championed person-centred care, making our services unique to each and every person. They brought on a team of people who they knew were as passionate about care as they are.
In 2018, our first CQC report was published. In it, we achieved a ‘Good’ overall, and an ‘Outstanding’ in how caring we are. Some comments include:

Also in 2018, Dawn was a winner of CEO Today’s Healthcare Awards.
In 2020, the world was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. Our staff continued to go above and beyond, and we were very lucky to have a very low number of COVID cases. When someone we supported tested positive, we created detailed maps to identify the source, in case one of our staff was asymptomatic. We limited the number of carers we sent to the people we supported, and limited the number of people our carers visited.
A year later, in mid 2021, we made the leap and became a limited company. Whilst this didn’t make a change to the care we provided, it meant we had to re-register with the CQC as a new care provider.
In 2023, our first CQC report as Teign Angels Ltd was published. Whilst we weren’t rated ‘Outstanding’ in our care again, we were rated as ‘Good’ overall. Comments included:
