Supporting you at home

A person holds another person's hand

If it’s important to you, it’s important to us

We like to do things the way you like things to be done

We’re here to support you as things change

Having support at home can be a big decision. You need to be able to trust that the person coming to see you will do things your way. That’s why we pride ourselves on being a small team, and providing regular carers who will get to know you quickly. When we introduce one of our staff to you for the first time, one of our senior members of staff or one of your regular carers will accompany them, to give you and them some extra support. We don’t charge any extra for this, we just want to get things right when we’re supporting you.

We support people as time goes on and things change. We liaise with community professionals when we identify something that might help you; we involve ourselves with a lot of panels, networks, and boards to stay up to date with our knowledge and practice; and where we work alongside another care provider to support you, we establish communication channels with them, to support with ‘joined up care’.

‘People were supported by small staff teams. Senior staff who understood everyone’s care needs were able to support everyone in the service, and regularly did so. These measures ensured continuity of safe care for
people.’

Support at home doesn’t just mean care

Having someone support you at home doesn’t just mean help with personal care, dressing, toileting etc. You might not need support with that, but want support with other things instead. We can support you with this as well.

Support with meal preparation

Support with cleaning and light housework

Companionship
