Friends Against Scams

Scams are as old as human civilisation. With every great technological innovation comes a wave of new scam threats. As we see more and more of our lives become digitalised, and our mobile devices become our own personal encyclopaedia, digital threats are ever evolving.

All of our staff have received training to be Friends Against Scams. Covering doorstep scams, phone scams, online scams, and postal scams, it provides an in-depth look into what scams are, how we can identify potential scam victims, and what we should do if someone tells us they have been scammed.

Young Carers Covenant

In April 2024, we signed the Young Carers Covenant. This is a national pledge co-ordinated by the Carers Trust, and it aims to raise awareness of the specific needs of young carers and young adult carers.

young carers and young adult carers by embedding knowledge
and understanding within our training programme for all staff.
We will continue to signpost carers of people we support to
services where they may find additional information, guidance
and support, including signposting young carers and young
adult carers to places where they may find information and
support pertinent to them. We endeavour to make our service
work not only for the people we support, but for their loved
ones and carers as well, regardless of age.
