What we do
As the old saying goes, ‘home is where the heart is’. Whether we’re renting a flat, own our own house, live with family, or are staying in a residential care home, home is home.
At Teign Angels, we’re experienced in supporting people to stay safe, wherever it is they call ‘home’. That might include helping people with their personal care. It might include helping them to keep their home clean and tidy. It might include helping them to prepare a meal, or making food for them. Whatever it is we do, we do it with pride.
How we do it
Having care and support can be a big decision. You need to be able to trust the people coming to visit you. That’s why we champion having small teams for every person we support. When we introduce one of our staff to you for the first time, one of our senior members of staff or one of your regular carers will accompany them. This is to give you and them a bit of extra support

Examples of things we can do:
- Helping people get to the toilet or commode
- Supporting people with a catheter
- Getting washed (including having a bath, shower, or strip wash)
- Getting dressed
- Supporting with hair care and dental cream
- Assisting with taking, or administrating, medication
- Applying creams and lotions
- Support around the house (such as hoovering, dusting, washing up, and ironing)
- Light cleaning
- Some pet care
